Gable-end art was all the rage in mid-1970s Glasgow. This frog-like fellow riveted young audiences in Bellfield Street, Dennistoun, especially when artist John McColl invited fire-breather John Ferry, of the Patchell Brothers' Circus, to do his stuff at the 1975 unveiling.
